The below are some of the common questions we've received regarding upcoming events. If your question is not answered here, please email kev@floorshowgothnight.co.uk
I like to smoke, will I be able to nip out for a quick cigarette?
We normally allow pass outs if there's no designated smoking area
I want to buy an advance ticket, but I don't like using Paypal, how else can I pay you? www.seetickets.com accepts payments by credit cards for some of our events. Equally, you can buy in person from various locations (see 'upcoming events') or from The Charnel House!
I don't know if I will go until closer to the time, will you be hiking the ticket prices on the day?
Ticket prices will usually increase slightly on the day. Not by a dramatic amount, but it is cheaper to buy them now.
My local night wants to run a trip - could you give us a discount if we could guarantee you a certain amount of attendees? Ticket discounts are available if you block book - i.e. if you're
running a minibus, trip, or have loads of friends wanting to go.
email me with what you have in mind - kev@floorshowgothnight.co.uk Equally, we've now started selling tickets individually and for some events in blocks of 10. All blocks of 10 carry a discount.
Can I have a free ticket because I'm poor/special/great/your friend/etc? No, sorry.
What time are bands due on/off stage? Will I miss my last bus? Stage times can vary based on number of bands and length of set. We aim to build all the bills based on a finish before 11pm. As a general rule headline bands play 60-90 minutes while support acts 30-45. Changeovers are normally 10-20 minutes and we try to have first band 15-30 minutes after doors open. Those times may give you a loose guide to plan. Individual stage times may be published later. For all-day events we will always publish stage times.
Will there be a club night afterwards? Any club nights will be promoted along with the event, even if the club is nothing to do with us. If we haven't mentioned the club night, it's unlikely we're organising one.
Can my band play one of your events? It's not impossible. It's easier to get a gig when we're actively looking - we're not looking at the minute. Best thing to do, drop a line : kev@twfmagazine.com and let us know you're interested. Be realistic with what you expect to get out of it and you've got a realistic chance.
